First Edition of CMUN 2026 Brings 200 Student Diplomats to Casagrand International School

On July 8, 2026, Casagrand International School hosted its first edition of Casagrand Model United Nations (CMUN) 2026, bringing together over 200 student delegates from leading schools across Chennai. The inaugural conference brought together representatives from more than 30 countries in a simulated diplomatic environment.

Format and Scope

Designed as an immersive simulation of the United Nations, CMUN 2026 provided students with a platform to debate contemporary global issues, negotiate resolutions, and collaborate with peers while developing essential 21st-century skills. Throughout the conference, delegates deliberated on the world's most pressing issues across multiple committees, with students representing over 30 countries and engaging in discussion on global cooperation, sustainable development and international peace.

The discussions challenged participants to think critically, negotiate diplomatically, and collaborate towards consensus.

Recognition and Awards

The conference culminated in a grand valedictory ceremony, where exceptional participants were honoured with awards for their outstanding performance in diplomacy, leadership, public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking.
